Filters

Filters narrow down what is displayed on the map, without changing the underlying data.

There are two filter panels on the map toolbar:

Measurement filters

Complaint filters

Note: The complaint icon is disabled (greyed out) when the site has no imported complaints or OdourRadar reports.

Measurement Filters

1. Click the icon under Filters on the map toolbar, to open the Measurement Filters panel.

2. Set the filters you want to apply.

3. Click the APPLY button.

4. Click the RESET button to clear every filter and restore all the data.

Available Filters

• Measurement Type - All, Instantaneous or Timed.
• Date Range - a from and to date.
• Assessors - filter to the data collected by specific assessors.
• Character - the odour characters recorded.
• Source - the odour sources the data was attributed to.
• Odour Hour - Positive Odour Hour, or when using the EPA Victoria (Australia) scales; Obvious Odour Hour, Subtle Odour Hour and Not An Odour Hour.
• Intensity - replaced by your custom intensity scale, if one is enabled for the site.
• Hedonic Tone - replaced by your custom tone scale, if one is enabled for the site.
• Duration
• Precipitation
• Cloud Coverage
• Temperature - a minimum and maximum.
• Wind Speed Type, Wind Speed and Wind Direction - each with a minimum and maximum.

Note: Filters are applied on top of your survey selection and any merged pair data. Filtering the data on the map or chart views applies to all the data.

Complaint Filters

1. Click the icon under Filters on the map toolbar, to open the Complaint Filters panel.

2. Set the filters you want to apply.

3. Click the APPLY button.

• As with measurements, a message will tell you how many complaints passed the filter.

4. Click the RESET button to clear every filter.

Available Filters

• Complaint Type - imported complaints and/or OdourRadar reports.
• Validation
• Suspected Odour Source
• Investigated By and Date of Investigation
• Date Range
• Complainant Name
• Odour Location and Coordinates
• Character, Intensity, Hedonic Tone and Duration
• Temperature
• Wind
